Wet Scrubbers
   

Emissions from industrial plants spreading into the air in the form of smell, smoke, fume, dust, gas, vapour or aerosol are restricted to the levels specified in the regulations.

Emission rates of the plants installed Bakon Scrubbers are lowered and stays below the limit values specified in that regulation and specially employees get dust-free and odorless working conditions where they are absolutely protected.

In that absorption process, mass is transferred from the gas to the liquid phase.

 

Within a vertical countercurrent wet scrubber, the contaminated gas entering the scrubber body is brought into intimate contact with the scrubbing solution which is recirculated countercurrently to the gas flow.

 

 

Packing media inside the scrubber body provides a wide contact area for the mass transfer from the gas to the liquid phase. Entrained liquid droplets in the gas flow are removed through a mist eliminator placed on an internal support at the top of the scrubber body.

 

The cleaned gas which has a concentration below the limit values specified in the regulations leaves the scrubber and is released dust-free and odorless into the atmosphere.
